Hodgdon H4350 Smokeless Gun Powder

(5 customer reviews)

Product Overview

Hodgdon H4350 Extreme Extruded propellant is a burning speed that has been known to shooters for decades. During that time, Hodgdon has modernized H4350 by shortening the grains for improved metering and making it insensitive to hot/cold temperatures. H4350 is ideal in the WSM family of calibers (270, 7mm, 30, 325). H4350 is the standard in such cartridges as the 243 Winchester, 6mm Remington, 270 Winchester, 338 Winchester Magnum and many more. For magnums with light to moderate weight bullets, it can’t be beat!

I tried quite a few powders 8133 and H1000 and 7828 and the 4350 speed powders worked the best for me and my barrel with 250gr. bullets. The barrel is a Proof Research Sendero contour 26″ long. I personally think a good crono is a must when working up a load for the simple reason with the H-4350 I hit max load velocities with starting load charges. Which tells me the cut rifled proof is a way tighter bore that the test barrel Hodgdon used. Better safe than sorry I say Use a crono and know for sure whats going on and then work on the ES and SD. I tried AA4350 and IMR4350 and H4350 was by far the best results.

After being told Hodgdon H4350 would be the best option for reloading my 6.5 creedmoor rounds I had to see what worked the best for the best over all cost effectiveness in today’s economy. I’ve tried 4 different powder types for the grain load I’m using and hands down Modernarmz has gotten me the most consistent and tightest shot groups of everything I’ve tried so far! Highly recommended

  3. Rick LeMonnier

I’ve used H4350 for years and it’s consistent and stable powdered. I use it in my 6.5 creed and 6 GT and find it always delivers!
